At OH MY GOLDNESS, we celebrate the charm and uniqueness of vintage. Every item in our collection has its own story and character, and we kindly ask that each piece be treated with the same care and appreciation it has received over the years.

VINTAGE NATURE & HANDLING

Due to the delicate and time-worn nature of vintage materials, items may have gentle signs of age or slight imperfections. These characteristics are part of what makes vintage special and are not considered defects.

Interior linings, older hardware, stitching, and coated fabrics may be more fragile than their modern counterparts. For this reason, we recommend gentle use and avoiding overloading, as certain materials — especially older linings — may stretch or weaken over time.

BRAND CRAFTSMANSHIP & VARIATIONS

Please keep in mind that even well-known luxury brands have varied in their craftsmanship across different eras and production batches. Some items may feature slight asymmetry, minor stitching irregularities, or variations in stamp placement or depth.

These natural differences are common in both vintage and newer items, especially those that are handmade or from earlier decades. They are not considered faults and do not indicate a lack of authenticity.

CLEANING & MATERIAL SENSITIVITY

Vintage materials — particularly older leathers, fabrics, and finishes — may respond unpredictably to water, alcohol-based products, or cleaning wipes. In some cases, gentle wiping may cause color transfer or surface change, especially on vintage CHANEL pieces or rare linings.

We recommend avoiding any DIY cleaning and storing the item in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture.

PRODUCT PHOTOS & COLOR ACCURACY

We do our best to capture each item as accurately as possible through high-resolution, in-house photography. All condition details are described with care and transparency. That said, please note that lighting, screen resolution, and color settings may result in subtle differences in tone or texture from what is shown online.

OH MY GOLDNESS is an independent vintage curator and a licensed secondhand dealer in Japan. We are not affiliated with any of the brands we feature, and as such, we are unable to guarantee original factory specifications such as metal content or materials used. Our descriptions are based on careful observation and experience.

For customers who wish to have additional peace of mind, we offer the option to add an Entrupy authentication certificate for eligible items. Entrupy is a globally recognized AI-based verification service that provides digital proof of authenticity.

FINAL SALE POLICY

As each item is one-of-a-kind and pre-owned, all sales are final. We kindly ask that customers review all photos and descriptions carefully before making a purchase. We’re always happy to answer questions or provide additional images if needed.

Once an item has been used, we are unfortunately unable to take responsibility for any wear or changes that may naturally occur — such as interior stretching, hardware shifts, or material fading — which are part of the aging process and depend greatly on how each item is handled.
